Our Side Of The Story

By Robert E. Dudley

Our Side Of The Story is the first story in this trilogy about a large family from Georgia during the World War II era.

Robert the surving son narrates a fact filled family memior. It takes a look at the trials and tribulations of growing up in the South on the farm to the effects of young men sent off to war as they leave the mother, sisters and wives behind.

This Trilogy is a nonfiction narrative, Family Memoir presented as an op-ed piece to Tom Browkaws "The Greatest Generation." I'm giving a lively report of the confrontations with the pathos of the Depression, war build-up, 2 brothers and I fighting in WWII, and surviving Guadalcanal. The book explores a can-do attitude, caring and sharing, make do with less and belief that where there is opportunity there is HOPE. Achievement is possible and easier than you thought. Giving and sharing is a duty: have abiding faith and defend your beliefs.
